TASTING NOTES
Ruby red with purple reflections. The nose is floral, characterized by clear hints of violets that prevail over the fruitiness. Followed by raspberry, blackcurrant and black cherry accompanied by aromas of liquorice and spicy notes of nutmeg and white pepper. The entry into the mouth is warm, with tannins in full evidence. The texture appears decisive, a typical characteristic of Chianti Rùfina. Long-lasting.

CHIANTI RÙFINA RISERVA DOCG “NIPOZZANO” 2020 - FRESCOBALDI: WHY WE LIKE IT
An ancient stronghold defending Florence since the year 1000, the Nipozzano Castle is the most famous and historic property of the Frescobaldi family. According to popular tradition, Nipozzano means without a well, testifying to the fact that the area was poor in water, an ideal circumstance for the cultivation of vines. The castle and wine estate are located east of Florence, in the heart of the prestigious Chianti Rufina area, right on the mountainside overlooking the Arno river valley. Thanks to the perfect balance between altitude, soil and fresh, ventilated microclimate, the different varieties find the ideal conditions for perfect growth and allow the production of wines with a harmonious character and strong longevity. Chianti Rùfina Riserva is one of the company's historic wines, a symbol of the Tuscan winemaking tradition: left to mature for approximately 24 months in second and third passage barriques, it is a complex, intense, fine wine, capable of maintaining a strong bond with the style of the territory.
